you know this meeting

Twelve people in a room and three of them talk. The idea that wins is the one said loudest, and the people who couldn’t come never get a say. A board gives everyone the same voice: one vote per idea, in their own time, on their own phone.

how it works

open to read, a link to join

Anyone can read a public board without an account. To suggest, vote or comment, people sign in with a link we email them. It works in any phone browser, with nothing to install. You can also make the account visible to signed-in people only.

a name that isn’t theirs

Everyone gets a generated username and a random avatar. Their real name and email address are never shown on the board.

one vote each, no downvotes

Each person can back an idea once. There’s no downvote, so a handful of people against something can’t sink it.

house rules, where people write

Your guidelines sit next to the form while someone writes an idea, not on a page nobody opens.

you choose who posts

Pick how new ideas arrive: Reviewed, Open or Closed. People you trust can skip review, and Blocked people can’t take part.

one note at the top

Pin a short announcement above the board: a deadline, a meeting, a thank-you. People can close it once they’ve read it.

saying no, nicely

Some ideas won’t happen. Mark them Declined and say why, in public. The idea stays on the board with your note, its votes stop moving, and people can keep talking about it underneath.

questions groups ask

For whoever ends up looking after the board.

We don’t have a website. Is that a problem?

No. Every account gets its own page on wouldbenice.co. Share the board link wherever your members already are: a newsletter, a poster, the group chat.

Can we stop new ideas and only vote on the ones we have?

Yes. Set new ideas to Closed. Nobody can add one, and people can still vote and comment on the ideas already there.

Someone keeps breaking our rules. What can we do?

Set them to Blocked, and they can’t suggest, vote or comment any more. Anything they posted that doesn’t belong can be hidden by your team.

Can we keep the board away from passers-by?

Set the account to signed-in people only. Anyone can still sign in with their email, so it isn’t a lock. On Pro, owner team only keeps it to you and your moderators.
